The hoisting of the flag of the Republic of North Macedonia at United Nations headquarters this morning (15 February 2019) signaled the end of one of the world body’s longest mediation processes. To give you a sense of the patient and dogged work by the parties, carried out under the auspices of the Secretary-General and through his Personal Envoy, we’re bringing you an updated timeline of the process to settle the “name” dispute between Athens and Skopje.
